Guided tours and excursions


  • Lyon’s observation tour

With a guide, tour by coach to discover main monuments of the city : place Bellecour, the Terreaux, the quays, the Renaissance district, the business district of la Part-Dieu, the hills of Fourviere and la Croix-Rousse : the best way to catch a general glimpse of the city. The coach will make few stops along the tour.

 

  • Guided visit of Lyon – ½ day

With a guide, walking tour in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage district. From the hill of Fourviere, to the peninsula going through the Old Lyon district. 

 

  • Guided visit of Lyon – 1 day

You will be with a guide for the whole day. On morning, you will discover on foot the historical district of the capital of Gaul : from place Bellecour to the narrow streets of the Old Lyon. During the afternoon, down the Croix-Rousse hill through the traboules (covered narrow alleys crossing buildings from one street to the other) to a silk printing workshop. 

 

  • Cruise on the Saone (Lyon, 1h)

Discover Lyon from the river crossing the town from north to south, in a ship with commentaries and background music.  

 

  • Lyon and Beaujolais tour – 1 day

On morning, discover on foot the historical heritage of Lyon with a guide. During the afternoon, the group will be hosted by a Beaujolais wine grower in his estate, and taste the production. Discovery of shiny villages of the “Pierres Dorées” area (name given because of the golden brightness given by the sun to stoned houses). Possible extend with a typical dinner in the Beaujolais before coming back to Lyon (see Restaurants section). 

 

  • Beaujolais Tour – ½ day

Only 30 minutes north from Lyon, a Beaujolais wine grower will welcome you in the heart of his vineyards and have you taste his wine. The tour goes through villages with houses built of Golden Stones. Possible extend with a typical dinner in the Beaujolais before coming back to Lyon (see Restaurants section). 

 

  • Beaujolais Tour – 1 day

Only 30 minutes north from Lyon, hilly vineyard landscapes of the Beaujolais. A wine grower will share with the group his passion for his work and have a taste of his production. At lunch time, the group will eat specialities of the region in a typical small restaurant. During the afternoon, the tour will continue along the « Route des Grands Crus » (road of the great wines) discovering well known villages with suggestive nouns : Saint Amour, Juliénas, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Morgon… Possible extend with a typical dinner in the Beaujolais before coming back to Lyon (see Restaurants section).
