At the footsteps of the Alps, on the north banks of a magnificent lake, lies the Venice of Haute Savoie. Enjoy a one hour boat cruise on the lake before visiting the Old Annecy with medieval buildings, canals, quaint streets with restaurants, cafés and markets. Tasting in a traditional ‘fromagerie’ to learn the subtle art of cheese making and taste some delicious traditional, regional cheese. Lunch included.

Explore the northern Rhône Valley, the homeland of Syrah and Viognier and enter a glorious past which goes back to Roman Times. In the morning, experience a breathtaking view of Hermitage country from St Christopher Chapel, before wine tasting at “La Maison Chapoutier”. In the afternoon, walk on the vertigo inducing terraced slopes of Côte Brune & Côte Blonde in Ampuis, before stopping at a family winery to taste Condrieu & Côt Rotie, the queen of the Côtes du Rhône wines.  Lunch included.
